Katherine R. Shank
Katherine R. Shank brings 17 years of legal-industry experience to Ratliff Jackson LLP, combining extensive paralegal experience with responsibility for the administrative systems and case workflows that help keep the firm's matters moving.
Legal Experience and Firm Operations
Katherine R. Shank serves as Chief Legal Operations Administrator at Ratliff Jackson LLP and brings 17 years of experience in the legal field to the firm's day-to-day operations and client service.
Katherine began working in law at sixteen, when she secured her first law firm internship. Over the course of her career, she developed substantial paralegal experience, including more than a decade working with family law and criminal defense matters.
At Ratliff Jackson LLP, Katherine's role extends beyond traditional paralegal support. She helps coordinate the administrative side of active matters, including engagement documentation, case-management processes, court and client communications, billing administration, scheduling, and internal coordination among attorneys and staff.
Her work regularly requires attention to the details that can determine whether a legal matter moves efficiently, from confirming court information and monitoring procedural developments to preparing engagement documentation and coordinating next steps after a client retains the firm.
Katherine works across the firm's growing practice, supporting matters involving criminal defense, professional-license defense, education and student issues, civil litigation, and other areas handled by Ratliff Jackson LLP.

Supporting the Firm Behind the Scenes

As Chief Legal Operations Administrator, Katherine helps oversee that infrastructure at Ratliff Jackson LLP. She works with the firm's attorneys, intake team, support staff, clients, courts, and service providers to help ensure that matters move from intake through representation in an organized and professional manner.
A Career in Legal Service
Katherine's involvement in the legal field began unusually early. At sixteen, she secured her first law firm internship, beginning a career that would grow into nearly two decades of legal-industry experience.
Her background includes extensive work in criminal defense and family law, along with the operational and administrative responsibilities she now manages at Ratliff Jackson LLP.
A Florida native, Katherine enjoys spending time with her cats and life outside the firm's fast-paced legal environment.
Client Service Through Strong Operations
Effective legal representation depends on more than legal analysis alone. Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and coordination are essential to keeping matters moving efficiently.
